Homemade Body Hair Removal - The Easy Method?

Sue and Tim entered a, "Male Pubic Hair Removal Competition", and won an all expenses paid trip for two to Hawaii.

Whilst in Hawaii, Sue discussed with Tim the idea that there must be thousands of people, if not millions, who would like to remove their body hair in the privacy of their home.

Tim said to Sue, "There must be alot of people who would be embarrassed to go to a Beauty Salon or a Hair Removal Clinic to have their hair removed. Also having your hair removed once or on a regular basis may be too expensive for most."

Tim replied, "Sue, you did the research in learning how to remove male pubic hair, why don't you when we get back to the States, do some more of your research and find out the easy methods for anyone to remove hair in the privacy of their home."

Sue was ecstatic over the idea. She quickly jotted a few ideas down on paper and then put it away. They were after all, on holidays and still had seven days left.

The holiday was relaxing and a joy to both of them and it was soon time for them to pack their bags and head out to the airport for their flight home.

Back home, Sue cranked up her computer and put the search terms, "Homemade Body Hair Removal", into the search engine on the Internet.

Because Sue had gotten so good at researching, "Male Pubic Hair Removal", from the previous time, she was easily able to find some informative articles on the, "How to", the nitty-gritty method and ideas of removing body hair in the privacy of your home.

Here is what Sue found:

It depends naturally if you are a male or female and what parts of the body that you wish to remove hair from. Another area to look at is your reasons or motivation to remove your hair.

For some, it could be that they want a, "new look". For others, they are tired of going to the barber, hair dresser or beauty salon and getting their hair cut or removed.
Even some remove their hair because it is better when they play a sport.

Hey - There are better ways to spend time, doing more enjoyable pursuits, than trudging off somewhere and getting your hair removed.

Plus, there is also the money issue. Removing your hair at home will save you money that can be better spent on a new car or vacation. Do you agree?

The one body hair removal method that can be homemade:

Sugaring is similar to waxing and can hurt as well (Ouch).

The advantages of sugaring, after the first few times, is that it is 95% irritation free, the end result looks great and your hair doesn't grow back too fast. On some areas of your body it will hurt to remove body hair by sugaring. These include your legs, underarms, bikini lines, and sometimes, chest and stomach areas.

It may be a good idea first to try sugaring on your arms where it is pretty much pain free and then decide if it is for you.

Sugaring removes the hairs from the roots and so the regrowth of your hairs in the area that you removed them may take up to 6-8 weeks.

Preparation (Ingredients):

1/4 cup honey
1 cup sugar
Half a lemon for the juice
Some molasses, if you have any
An item to spread the mixture onto yourself with, like a plastic knife or spatula
Cotton fabric, (something old, lying around in the house or buy some strips at a shop)

Here's the method:

1. Mix the honey, the lemon and the sugar in a bowl.
2. You can heat this mixture in a saucepan on low heat, on the stove, until it mixes in or heat it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Either way after doing so, wait until it cools down. Applying it when it is slightly warm does help.
3. Depending on where you are going to remove your hair, make sure the area is dry and clean. Then dust the area with corn starch as this helps draw the excess oil out and helps the mixture be more effective when you apply it to the body.
4. If doing your leg, spread a thin layer on one area. Cover with a strip of fabric, and then for 3 times, rub the strip the opposite way of hair growth.
5. Grab one end of the fabric and pull it off very quickly. It will hurt, but after a while you get used to it and it is less painful. Think about the money you are saving from doing it yourself.
6. Use the same method for the other areas that you wish to remove your body hair from.
7. If the mixture gets too hard to spread, reheat it.
8. With any mixture that is left over, store it in a plastic or glass container that can be sealed air tight.

So now you have learned about homemade body hair removal, which will save you traveling time and money paying someone else to do it.

But if you don't want to fool with all this mess and pain, but you still want the advantages of removing your body hair in your home, Sue and Tim have done a lot of research and tried a variety of hair removal methods over the years, and they highly recommend a relatively new battery shaver.

Do a search on the Internet to find out how you can get it.
